Fly Fishing
Boats. When Wading Won’t Get You There.
Wading
is a great way to fish in most cases. When fishing on lakes
and some rivers fly fishing boats will allow you to find more hot spots
faster. If you have a limited budget, a motor boat doesn’t
have to be the only option (and in many cases is not the best
option). There are other options available that may better
meet your needs and budget.
Float
tubes offer the fly fisherman a simple way to maneuver around a lake or
large pond. These tubes are inflatable, relatively
inexpensive, and easy to transport. Find out more about float
tubes here.
No,
not the large motor propelled pontoon boats, fly fishing pontoon boats
are specially designed for individual fly fisherman. Find out
more about fly fishing pontoon boat here.
Canoes and drift boats are some of
the other
options for fishing with a friend. One guy controls the boat
while the other fishes and then you switch off. To find out
more about these two options read on here.
Motor
BoatsThe quickest, but most expensive option is a motor
boat. You can either pony up the money for a full fledged
fishing boat or maybe a smaller jon boat will do the trick.
To help you decide and get some tips on fly fishing from these boats
read on here.
Check out all the above options and
keep in mind not only price, but how you will transport your fly
fishing boats. Sometimes a larger fly fishing boat may seem
like the best option but you have to be sure you can get it to the
water first.
