So you want to start fly fishing for bass and panfish?
Fly fishing for bass and panfish is the next stop (and possibly the last) in the fishing evolution.
You started out fishing like most of us. Hang a worm on a hook at the end of a bobber and wait. Suddenly, the bobber jolted under and you snatched up your pole. Your first fish was likely a small bluegill but the excitement had you hooked for life.
After moving from live bait to artificials you saw someone casting a fly or maybe watched the movie “A River Runs Through It.” Like a work of art. Your interest was peeked.
You may know most of what there is to know about other forms of fishing. But after your first visit to a fly shop you come out confused and a bit intimidated.
I choose to learn about fly fishing for bass and panfish because I already know where to find them from previous experience. You probably do, too. Half the battle is already won.
I’m here to crack the code of "the long rod" for you by answering any questions you may have. That’s not to say I have all the answers, but I have questions of my own and I plan to find the answers.
